Lindsey Kernozek
Lindsey’s passion for dogs began at an early age when her parents brought home a spirited Jack Russell Terrier and entrusted her with its training. That early responsibility sparked a lifelong dedication to understanding canine behavior and building meaningful partnerships between dogs and their people - a commitment that continues to guide her work today.

Throughout her career, Lindsey has worked across nearly every facet of the dog industry, including grooming, daycare, obedience training, and advanced behavior development. A cornerstone of her experience has been training and preparing dogs through the Berkshire Dogs Unleashed Comfort Dog Program. The dogs she has helped develop now serve alongside police departments, fire departments, and youth organizations, providing emotional support, assisting victims in times of crisis, supporting first responders, and helping educate communities. This work has shaped her training philosophy, emphasizing stability, resilience, and purpose-driven structure.

Lindsey has also dedicated significant time to supporting veterans through her work with Companions for Heroes, an organization that helps veterans train their own dogs or shelter dogs as service animals at no cost to the veteran. Through this work, she has helped teams build the skills and reliability needed to assist with a wide range of service-related challenges, while fostering renewed independence, confidence, and purpose. Being part of a process that directly improves veterans’ quality of life is one of the most meaningful aspects of her career.

Committed to continued professional development, Lindsey holds certifications in Canine CPR & First Aid and is an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator, AKC Temperament Test Judge, and AKC Safe Grooming professional. Her dedication to excellence has earned national recognition, with her dogs appearing on Fox News, in television commercials, and achieving prestigious titles including Grand Champion, Field Champion, and Reserve Best in Show.

In addition to leading APEX K9 Solutions, Lindsey co-owns KC Concrete & Contracting, where her fiancé Kevin serves as the company’s operator. Together, they bring a strong work ethic, operational discipline, and a results-driven mindset to both businesses, ensuring clients receive thoughtful guidance, clear communication, and dependable outcomes.

At home, Lindsey and Kevin share their lives with their American Leopard Hounds, German Shepherds and a Belgian Malinois mix, with her son and stepdaughter often joining in their day-to-day routines and adventures. For Lindsey, working with dogs is more than a profession - it’s a purpose rooted in service, education, and a deep commitment to helping both dogs and people live more confident, capable, and connected lives.
